The Labor Loop - through labor, delivery and beyond!
The Labor Loop is a soft, stretchy accessory and tool for birthing and exercise (with many other uses!). The Labor Loop can be used anywhere and with anyone - hospital, birthing centers and at home, with or without a birth partner and is ideal for both medicated and unmedicated births. It is especially useful with an epidural when pushing may be more challenging for mom.
It uses the laboring woman's strength along with resistance, to help her manage the force of contractions and push more efficiently and effectively. It can relive the pain of contractions and help bring baby down. When I was in labor, I used it to hang on to while squatting which relived a lot of pressure and allowed me to move freely while hip swaying.
The Labor Loop can make the pushing phase easier and faster too, because each push is productive when the loop is pulled on. A more natural birth can be achieved with less opportunity for unwanted interventions such as vacuum and forceps. A c-section can even be avoided if pushing is becoming too difficult on mom.
The Labor Loop provides countless uses outside of birthing. Yoga, exercise, stretching, a "pillow" while nursing, an arm support for the carseat. Since it is light weight, soft and comfortable, you can even put essential oils on it and hang it around your neck while watching TV or reading a book. I personally use it for something every day. It is so easy to hang up and store for easy access!
